When Jesus’ disciples asked him why they were unable to perform the same healing miracle as he did on the little boy Jesus replied “…Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” Matthew 17:20-21
Regardless of the size of your faith know it has the ability to change your situation. Allow your faith to continually grow. No matter if you’re prayers go unanswered you must hold on to your faith! “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
You may think no one understands or that no one cares, but God does. We serve a merciful and powerful God. You are stronger than you realize. God doesn’t put more on us than we can bear. Remember, it’s always darkest before the dawn. Hebrews 11:1 reads “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
When you hear the word Faith what thoughts come to your mind?
Faith is not what you see with natural eyes, but what you see with your spiritual eyes. Faith is what you feel in your heart. Faith says “Keep on fighting and never give up until you succeed”. Faith in God is what you need to depend on. Not horoscopes. Not the news. Not what your friends say. Faith is true.
There were times when all I had to hold onto was my Faith especially when I first moved back to the U.K. from the U.S.A.
No it wasn’t always easy, but I knew my Faith in God would pull me through. When I felt down I would play gospel praise and worship music, read scriptures aloud, pray to God, watch Christian television shows and movies. It was truly helpful and lifted my spirit up significantly.
The bible says in Hebrews 10:22 “Let’s draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and having our body washed with pure water”.
Hebrews 11:6 “But without Faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him”.
My prayer for you is that you keep the Faith and allow the holy spirit to burn bright in your life.
There’s a feeling of warmth that arises within us when we connect with ourselves, others, nature or God. There’s also joy and a new sense of peace.
Often times what gets in the way of us connecting with others is our own cognitive distortions, our fear of being hurt or humiliated but, we must be able to surrender and trust in order to connect with others.
Life is so meaningful when you have someone to talk to, pray with, to share a meal with or a movie with. God has created us to connect with others so go on and try to connect.
Happy Easter😁 May you enjoy this special day and may it be filled with time to reflect on how great our heavenly father is for allowing his only son, Jesus to rise again.
The shed blood of Jesus cleanses us from inquities, shows us there is life after death, and exhibits Jesus’ sacrificial love. How wonderful it is to know we serve a gracious saviour who survived a horrific death.
Do you ever feel the need to rise? Rise from poverty, rise from sickness, rise from betrayal? Tamar, Job, and Jesus all arose from impossible situations. Surely you can too. Meditate on God’s Word and keep him first in your life.
My prayer for you is that you Rise Again better than before. May you walk with honour, rest peacefully at night and experience favour that will outlast your lifetime. In Jesus’s mighty name I pray. Amen
