Quest

We are all on a Quest.

A Quest for love.

A Quest for acceptance.

A Quest for status.

A Quest for validation.

Some people find love in the arms of a loved one

Or between the legs of a stranger.

Some people find love in a bottle of alcohol,

A plate of food,

Fast money,

Or smoking drugs.

Some people feel accepted when they belong

To a particular group, gang, or organization.

Some people feel validated by having

A luxury car,

Fancy degree,

Trophy wife,

Or expensive clothes.

Ignorance is bliss.

And a lack of knowledge

Leads to destruction.

Take time to learn,

Love and accept yourself

For who you are.

An individual, separate from the rest.

It is unnecessary to go on a Quest

For love from outside sources.

When you already possess it

Inside of you.

Go on a Quest to find yourself.

Fall in love with you!

Man alone

Please Stop Killing Us!

What causes a person of a particular faith to attach a bomb to themselves and detonate it publicly?

Why would anyone wish to harm anyone of a different faith especially children?

Who could be proud to be an ISIS Muslim after there have been multiple terrorist attacks on innocent people?

How do we as a society allow ISIS to terrorise us?

When are we going to wake up our faith and unite against this wickedness?

On the 22nd of May 2017, a suicide bomber detonated a bomb at a Ariana Grande pop concert in Manchester, U.K.  22 people died and 59 were injured.  Even an 8 year old little girl lost her life due to this attack, how atrocious! This must stop.

Having a faith in religion that encourages hurting others in order to promote yours is not cool.  I am a Christian so I believe in God, and Jesus.  My beliefs are different from that of other Religions.  Christianity promotes peace, love, acceptance, forgiveness, unity amongst other things.  The bible in Matthew 5:44 says “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

If I were able to address ISIS Muslims I would say “Please Stop Killing Us!”. To the families and friends that have lost a loved one or to those who have been injured by this terror attack please know you are in my prayers.  May God bless you and give you strength at this difficult time.

Empathise With Others

Last night while out at a salsa club, I went to the bathroom and saw a woman crying.

“What is wrong?” I asked her. “Me and my boyfriend broke up.”

I wrapped my arms around her and consoled her as I was able to empathise with the pain of a breakup.

“Aw, I’m sorry to hear that”  I replied.

With tears rolling down her latina eyes, I listened to her attentively and I could literally feel her heart aching through my heart so, I felt it appropriate to share a little testimony of how God blessed me with a gentleman after a brutal break up.

I assured her everything will be okay and one day she will realise the break up was a blessing.  We must realise the importance of connecting with others.  Sometimes we get so caught up in our routines and be antisocial but, we are human, we can feel and if we see someone in need it is good to be compassionate and empathise with them.
